Drapery is famously known as curtains. Drapery refers to cloth or textiles (Old French drap, from Late Latin drappuas]) used for decorative purposes --such on windows - or to the trade of selling cloth.

In India there is no standard size as far as the windows of the apartments are concerned, because of which most people purchase drapery fabric and then have it tailored accordingly. Most retailers selling this fabric also provide customers with a tailor and carpenter if new rods have to be put up.
