Dyeing is the format of imparting colour on the fabric to give impressive look.

Dye can be classified in natural and artificial. From last thousands of years the main source of making dye was natural i.e. dyes being extracted from animals and plants while just not more then hundred and fifty years the artificial dyes has come to use.

There are two types of methods of from dye solutions and by printing from dye pastes.

Acrylic fibers are dyed with basic dyes, nylon and protein fibers such as wool and silk are dyed with acid dyes, polyester yarn is dyed with disperse dyes. Cotton is dyed with a range of dye types including vat dyes which are similar to the ancient natural dyes and modern synthetic reactive and direct dyes.
