Polyester is one of the versatile and man-made fabrics. Polyester is a polymer, which is produced from the coal, air, water, and petroleum products. Polyester filaments are produced by forcing the molten polymer at a temperature of about 290 °C through spinneret holes followed by air cooling, then combining the single filaments into yarns.

Polyester clothing has a good stability and strength and is resistant to stretching and shrinkage. It is not damaged by sunlight or weather. Polyester does not shrink or wrinkle. It is durable stretchable and strong. It is even easily gets washed and dries. This fiber is used even to fill in the pillows. Polyester is used to make curtains, shirts, child wear, and insulating material, floor coverings.
