Natural rubber is an elastic hydrocarbon polymer that naturally occurs as milky colloidal suspension or latex in the sap of some plants. The scientific for the rubber tree is Hevea Brasiliensis.
The major commercial source for natural rubber latex is the Para Rubber Tree. In south is India especially in Kerala, the shell of half a coconut is used for collection of latex. The latex or natural rubber is heated with some chemicals to improve its resilience and elasticity and to prevent it from perishing. Rubber produced as a fiber has significant value for use in the textile industry because of its excellent elongation and recovery properties. The use of rubber is widespread, ranging from household to industrial products. Tires and tubes are the largest consumers of rubber. It is also commonly used to make rubber bands and balloons. As the name suggests this thread is processed from the milky pulp which is taken from a rubber plant. This can be used for variety of products either it can be for textile purpose and also for mechanical purpose. This can also be used as flex which is used to put up banners.
