Polyester aka Terylene is a category of polymers. There are various forms of polyesters and it can also be processed into many forms like fibers, sheets and three dimensional shapes. It is most widely used manufactured fiber in United States. It is used for apparels, home furnishings. These also include bed sheets, bedspreads, curtains and draperies. Polyester fiberfill is also used to stuff pillows, comforters and cushion padding. These fabrics sometimes have a "less natural" feel when compared to similarly woven fabrics made from natural fibers, e.g., cotton. However, polyester fabrics may exhibit other advantages over natural fabrics, e.g., improved wrinkle resistance. This fabric was used for Disco-clothing in seventies. Polyesters can be both plastics and fibers. This fabrics and fibers are extremely strong, durable, resistant to most chemicals, and also wrinkle resistant. This yarn can be quickly dried. It retains shape and is good for making outdoor clothing for harsh climates.
