Viscose is a natural polymer made from wood pulp. Viscose was also being used for linings and furnishing fabrics; providing the staple for towels and table-cloths. Yet other uses included the manufacture of sponges and absorbent cloths.

Rayon viscose is the first man made natural filament yarn and staple fiber for versatile end uses such as apparels, domestic textiles. Most commercial rayon manufacturing today utilizes the viscose process.

It was first used for coating fabrics. It is a soft material mostly used in tops, coats and jackets. There are nine types of viscose yarns. The viscose ribbon yarn is hand dyed by prism yarns. The colours are crisp and vibrant.
